Funny story: I used to wake up super early before my ex woke up and put on a full face of “natural looking” makeup. Then I’d climb back in bed so he would think I looked like an ANGEL in the morning and still want to stay with me I used to spend hours on my computer researching scar screams, cellulite scrubs for the back of my legs, and how to get rid of bumps around my bikini line. I used to tell myself I’d never ever be good enough or “sexy” enough if I didn’t save enough money for a boob job. As if a smooth vagina, implants, and a full face of foundation would suddenly create a deeper connection with my internal self, as if that was the answer to finding happiness in this lifetime. As if I needed to completely alter myself so my ex wouldn’t cheat on me, so I could be “worth it.” Here’s me telling you that true happiness with yourself stems from falling in love with who you are creating, and that no amount of money the industry tries to convince you that you need to spend will build that relationship within yourself. That you are deserving of love just how you were created, because you are a miracle in itself. Those who make you feel differently aren’t meant to be on your path, they will only hinder you. Here’s to accepting my body for everything it is, happy to say my “natural makeup” that I thought I needed is just my self love now #thedailysculpt #sculptyou

Sunday morning sunshine and gratitude, because today I chose myself Sundays growing up was the one day we were able to relax it seemed. The one day my dad took a little time to himself, maybe my mom was able to pick up a book. I’d watch her sneaking a chapter in during my lacrosse games. But Sunday night I’d walk into my room at night seeing my moms eyes straining working on her computer, and my dad stressed looking at bills in the living room. As a society we are conditioned not to choose ourselves. It’s all around us. How many of you feel as if you aren’t even sure truly of what’s in your soul-you’re just pushing through each day fighting for others, trying to become what society tells you. I recognized this quick that I was drowning, exhausted from fighting for others to see my worth. To become what society deems as “wifey material.” So my Sunday rituals started to become deeper, recognizing that I was losing myself in this only lifetime we have. It started transitioning into the week. I started reading, journaling, meditating, practicing yoga. I started to become more in tune with myself. I had to be at my job at 4 am, but I would listen to a self help podcast and journal after right when I parked my car. I had an hour commute, and it was the hour a day I needed to connect and create the person I want to be. Even if it’s listening out 3 things your grateful for at night, do it for yourself. Don’t get lost in your one experience. Happy Sunday #thedailysculpt #sculptyou

I’ve been waitin for this one, turn it up. Gymshark 24 hour sale is live, link in bio to shop discounted items! Thank you to everyone who supported me using my link, it means so much. Wanted to speak to my 20 year old self today: Dear Katrina, 4 years ago you launched collegecleaneating because you wanted to post all the recipes you were making in your college dorm room and teach others how to eat healthy on a low budget. You’re probably sitting in your room crying about what other girls in your sorority are saying about you, wishing you had true friendships in your life, and your romantic relationship is struggling because of it. He thinks everything you post is for male attention. But you kept posting, even if it was a dimmed down version of yourself, because it made you so happy. Because you wanted to change even just one life, and hold yourself accountable. You’re probably sitting there thinking no one would ever care, but you wanted to care about yourself and creating a stronger version of you first and foremost. Your parents don’t support your fitness journey, but you get gymshark leggings from them for your birthday-the first sign that they are learning your new lifestyle. 20 year old Katrina, thank you for pushing forward even though it was hard and you’re still struggling some days. Keep fighting. To those who are holding back due to the fear of others opinions, it’s your time to bloom.

Discomfort is what happens when we’re on the precipice of change. Discomfort is what is needed to break through to a new understanding, to motivate ourselves for real change, and for an awakening. This past week I’ve heard the most beautiful voices. Voices that were already exhausted, but were still screaming to be heard. I also heard a slight buzz consistently-social media is “toxic”, people couldn’t wait for this to be over, that social was draining and uncomfortable. uncomfortability is the #1 ingredient needed for growth and change. I urge you to sit in it. I urge you to open your mind, listen, educate. I also urge you to fill up your own cup and give yourself some grace. The fight for equality, as well as the fight to become your highest self is not a sprint. It’s not a quick social media trend solved by a quote, it’s a marathon. Breathe and know that to inact change within yourself, and relationships around you, it takes time. It takes lots of inner work, lots of self care, and it takes lots of uncomfortable conversations. I’ve seen many captions only saying “hope you all are okay🥺” and I’m here to say I hope you all are feeling the discomfort, but giving yourself the grace and time to awaken from it. THAT is your strength. That is when change is enacted. In all facets of your life. Here to continuing to listen, learn, and evolve. Here to continue saying black lives matter. Let’s continue to bloom, much love.
